The Coloplast Titan is a three-piece inflatable penile implant and the main alternative to the AMS 700 line. It is built around cylinders made of Bioflex, a silicone elastomer known for a very high burst strength — meaning it stands up well to years of repeated inflation.
The Titan works on the same three-piece principle: cylinders in the penis, a scrotal pump, and an abdominal reservoir. It uses a One-Touch Release pump, which deflates the device with a single squeeze rather than a separate button.
The Bioflex cylinders are prized for durability. Coloplast cylinders also carry a hydrophilic coating that soaks up whatever antibiotic solution the surgeon dips the device in before implanting — so the antibiotic protection can be tailored to the patient. The Titan expands mainly in girth.
Like the AMS 700 CX, the Titan does not lengthen the penis on inflation. Three-piece complexity applies: it is the most involved implant to place.
